Raise Request Sickening

I have been a LPN for more than 20 years and am currently employed at a health and rehabilitation facility in Spring Hill. I am a single mother with diabetes and have two children. I own my own home and pay taxes. I make less than $40,000 a year.
I live paycheck to paycheck. I cannot afford to fill my gas tank. My income is considered so low that my children qualify for and receive Medicaid. We eat a lot of macaroni and cheese.
I think I'll go to work tomorrow and tell Joan, my boss, that I'll be doing a self-evaluation and then request a 14 percent raise. Wish me luck.
The article about Mr. Alexander made me sick. He makes $119,000 a year and wants more. He must need the money so he can hang out with the rest of the crooks employed by Hernando County.
